Will Jagan Start Racha Banda In AP, Like Dad?
As per reports, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, is likely to start the mass contact program of Racha Banda. The program involves the chief minister to meet the common man and resolve their grievances. Jagan told this to the officials during his first collectors’ meet up.
The program was started by his father and the 14th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who died in a helicopter crash on 2nd September 2009. Jagan wants to launch this mass contact program from Pileru in Chittoor district, where his father could not attend it the meet.
After paying tributes to his father at Idupulapaya, Jaganmohan Reddy also intends to start the program on September 2. Jagan has named many programs after his father’s name, which he has launched after becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He has also revived all his father’s programs.
Jagan has always been adamant on becoming a better chief minister than his father and has promised this many a time. Even the Padayatra that YSR took in 2003 during the hot summers in many districts of AP, led him to victory in assembly elections in 2004 and again in 2009. Following his father’s footsteps, Jagan has also undertaken Padayatra.
Some reports say that Jagan wants to take advantage of his father’s reputation. In any case, the official confirmation is not received on launching the Racha Banda program.
