@sri_anand_jyot @SIIA_US @pranav_singh_MD @SenMikeLee [2/2] Top talent wouldn't want to live in uncertainty. They will get high paying jobs no matter where they go. Jobs follow them(after experience), not the other way around. Guess who will be left behind in US - Body shops & cheap labor. S386 fixes cheap labor with 50-50 rule.
@sri_anand_jyot @SIIA_US @pranav_singh_MD @SenMikeLee [1/2] You are wrong. I am closely watching S386(no kids yet). Both my wife and I work for fortune 100 companies (we can argue Top 20) as full-time. Lots of my friends who are SWDevs in Facebook, Google, Microsoft are planning to move back to India or Canada if no traction on S386
@abhi74k @SoleilFils @reliancejio I am not saying don't generate revenue via app store. But 30% premium doesn't justify the costs. If Android reduces its premium from 30% to 15%, expect Apple to do the same/similar. Really bummed Apple wants to take 30% cut from an APP that helps small business during this time.
@abhi74k @SoleilFils @reliancejio I am not arguing for/against any particular business model. Trying to find out why Apple is inconsistent with its business practices. I understand its free market and every public company ever listed has 1 goal - to increase its per share profits. But this needs to be documented
@DineshOnMission The number of countries in the world are Yuuuuugeee!
@abhi74k @SoleilFils @reliancejio Apple filed law suit against Qualcomm for the latter charging a percentage(<10%) from the iPhone sale price when Modem is the single most important technology to make a phone work. But it wants charge 30% off game developers for a payment system put together by a 9th grader?
@DineshOnMission While I agree with taxing the billionaires(or ppl who make now than 100k) a little more (pandemic or not), I don't agree with his political core which is take incentives away from people who generate revenue. That will drive away the companies/innovation from US.
@DineshOnMission FTC oversees merger and Acquisition in US and can deny acquisitions on grounds of national security risk or monopoly. FTC(Federal trade commission) shares jurisdiction with DOJ(Department of justice). DOJ is governed by Attorney general appointed by president. That's the trail.
@abhi74k You gotta find the barista(that makes the best cold brew) and stick to his/her schedule.
