Plagiarism Case Filed On Makers Of Krack
Plagiarism case registered on makers of Krack. A complaint has been filed against the makers of Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan starrer Krack for plagiarizing.
Shiva Subrahmaniya Murthy, a Hyderabad-based writer, registered a complaint against producer Tagore Madhu at the Jubilee Hills police station, claiming that the movie’s story has been lifted from a book he published in 2015. Confirming the same, SHO Rajshekar Reddy told the media, “On May 12, an individual named Shiva Subrahmaniya Murthy registered a complaint against Tagore Madhu for allegedly plagiarizing the story of Krack.
He also claims his story has been used without consent. As the movie was released more than a year ago, we are taking legal opinion on whether a case can be registered now. We have not reached out to the makers yet.”
Penned and helmed by Gopichand Malineni, Krack was released in 2021 and saw dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra. The movie was based on a few true incidents that took place in Ongole, AP. Ravi Teja essayed a powerful cop in the movie that saw Shruti Haasan return on-screen after a long time.
Samuthirakani essayed Katari Krishna, based on a former rowdy sheeter from the area. Gopichand previously stated in media that he wrote the movie based on instances he has heard of growing up. The makers of Krack are yet to respond to these allegations.
