Nani’s Tuck Jagadeesh Inspired From Old Movie?
Taking inspiration from old films or other language films has become quite common these days. It is okay if it is just an inspiration. But the problem arises when the makers copy the story of the film. Now, Nani’s upcoming film ‘Tuck Jagadeesh’ is said to be inspired by the old super hit movie! Did you remember the movie Gharshana, not Venkatesh’s film, but the old one which became a super hit in 1988?
This is actually a Tamil film ‘Agni Natchatiram’ which was also released in Telugu with the title ‘Gharshana’. The film had grabbed the attention of everyone and collected a stunning amount of Rs 6 crores at the box office. A film getting profits in crores in the 80s is not an easy thing! Karthik, Prabhu, Amala, and Nirosha played the leads. This Mani Ratnam directed action film was also remade in Hindi as Vansh starring Siddharth Ray and Sudesh Berry.
This film has the story of two stepbrothers hating each other who finally unite. According to the sources, Nani’s Tuck Jagadeesh will also have the same story! But we cannot call it a copy if just a single point is taken from the film, and so we say that the makers of Tuck Jagadeesh are just taking inspiration from Gharshana.
But, if this film, too, will have stepbrothers, who that another hero could be? Maybe Nani is playing a dual role! Shiva Nirvana who earlier directed Nani’s Ninu Kori is helming this project. Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma are playing leading ladies. Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under Shine Screens are jointly producing the film. Thaman is scoring the music.
