BJP Gives Naidu A Shock
Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, conducted a round-table meeting in Vijayawada on Thursday, to discuss the capital issue. All the major political parties, except for YCP, were asked to attend the meeting. But to Chandrababu’s utter shock, neither BJP not CPM leaders came to the meeting. This is a clear message that the BJP leaders would not be a part of any agitation taken up by Naidu.
The CPM further condemned Chandrababu for cheating the farmers of Amaravati by looting their lands and showing them graphics. "We do not like the controversy surrounding the AP capital," CPM secretary Madhu said.
He also said that the creation of the state capital should be done on a decentralized basis. He also took a dig at Pawan Kalyan for talking about religion and called it ridiculous. He said that it was a shame for Pawan to meet with BJP and Amit Shah. Jane Sena has lost its credibility, he said.
Leaders from Jana Sena, CPI, and other farmers' organizations attended the round-table meeting.
