Amazon Prime Bagged ‘Miss India’
According to the latest update, digital streaming giant Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital rights of Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Miss India’, which had wrapped up shoot and is ready for the release. The makers of the movie planned to give the film a theatrical release but that wasn’t to be, owing to pandemic situation and the consequent lockdown.
The latest update is that Amazon Prime has acquired the digital rights of ‘Miss India’ and they are said to have stuck a very good deal with the makers of the film.
Probably, Miss India will be made available for streaming on Amazon Prime by the end of October and as per now the official announcement regarding the same is not done and will be made shortly. The upcoming film was helmed by Narendra Nath and is produced by Mahesh Koneru.
Given the fact that theaters are not going to restart in the near future, many filmmakers of small and mid-range films are contemplating OTT release. Keerthy Suresh’s recently released Penguin had already on Amazon Prime and even Miss India is treading in the same path.
