Officials all set to get started with Dr. Ambedkar’s 125 ft. Life-size statue
It has been over three years since the Chandrashekhar Rao government announced erection of 125 ft. statue in memory of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Till date, it is obvious that the project is only as its five-year plan, waiting to be implemented. CM (Hyderabad) had announced to install the statue in the City, at the time of it being elected into power in the previous elections.
For looking into the process of erecting the statue, the officials had also elected a committee that was to be headed by construction line employees under the supervision of Dy. CM Kadiam Srihari. The latest techniques to be used for the construction of the statue was also studied and a final evaluation reports were prepared by the Dy. CM during his official visit to China.
As per the sources, not much has actually been done in this respect till date and the project awaits to be implemented on practical grounds.
As per official reports, it is certain that the project report has already been submitted for approval by the CM Chandrasekhar Rao but delays in implementing it have been observed on account of on-going elections for last six months.
Once the project has been officially approved and acknowledged by CM the project will be ready for implementation. It is only expected to be implemented by Next year.
The project report for the entire project has also been prepared by design associates based in Delhi. The same associates are also responsible for completion of Smruti Vanam project within the state.
When announced, it was certain that the authorities will be installing a Bronze made statue, but in recent statements, it has been mentioned that the decision has yet to be finalized by the CM.
