KCR-Jagan To Meet Today
Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, K Chandrasekhar Rao and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, respectively, will meet today, at Pragati Bhavan to discuss the diversion of Krishna and Godavari waters for better utilization for irrigation.
Chief ministers will hold a one-to-one discussion about the issues facing the states as well as the development at the central level. The last meeting of two chief ministers had been held in September, in which they discussed various plans of interlinking the two rivers to put water to better utilization.
The meeting was reportedly convened to discuss the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The Telangana government had opposed both the CAA and NRC, while the AP government has supported CAA and opposed the NRC. Some reports say that the two ministers could also discuss the three capitals issue put forward by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
