Jagan's New Scheme For Farmers In AP
A few days earlier, Andhra Pradesh government announced about providing 56 lakh farmer credit cards and 56 lakh debit cards to farmers to ease the process for government incentives, crop loans and other things.
Today CM Jagan, in a meeting with district collectors confirmed that they will be able to provide credit cards to all the farmers by the month of October.
This would ensure a helping hand to farmers so that they don’t face much problems. Also, seeds and pesticides will be provided for the farmers through the RaithuBharosa centers to help the farmers.
He directed the officials to work on it soon and start issuing farmers their credit cards. He also said that village secretariat shall display a list of fishermen and RaithuBarosa beneficiaries and should guide the farmers how to apply for such schemes.
Reason for Issuing credit and debit cards to farmers is that all the benefits provided to them by the State government should be directly credited into their bank accounts, which can be accessed by their debit cards. This would made the process hassle free both for the government and farmers.
