Fulfill the Pension Promises Made-Congress
K Chandrasekhar Rao has promised increased social security pension to recipients, when he took over as a chief minister for the second time in December 2018. On Friday the Congress demanded to complete those promises.
Aasara pension scheme which was to be introduced from 1st June 2019, in which government had decided to enhance the social security pension. The increment of pensions from 1000 Rs to 2,016 Rs was ordered in last May for the elderly, widows, weavers, HIV-positive persons, beedi workers, single women and filaria patients. Whereas the pensions for disabled, payable in July would go up from 1500 Rs to 3,016 Rs.
The Congress candidate stated that the increment in the pensions was originally the idea of Congress and was copied by the TRS party, Congress had promised to double the existing amount, and KCR just added Rs 16 to the amount promised by Congress.
As the matter of increased pension is welcomed, why should the recipients suffer the loss of 6 months added the candidate.
