ECI thrashes out the claims of Mishandling EVMs in UP as frivolous

The EC said the issue revealed from Ghazipur, relating to "having a watch on polled EVM strong room by the candidates" was settled by passing on its directions to the gatherings concerned.
In Chandauli, the ECI named the charges "frivolous", keeping up that EVMs were kept in appropriate security and protocol.
In another episode, detailed from Domariaganj, the EC said EVMs were inappropriate security and protocol. "The unsettling was superfluous. They were persuaded by the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police. The issue is settled," it said.
In Jhansi, the EC stated, the machines were put away in legitimate security and convention within the sight of ideological groups' candidates.
In fact, in all the cases, polled EVMs and VVPATs were sealed properly in front of the political parties’ candidates in videography. CCTV cameras are introduced. CAPF security is there. Candidates are permitted to have a 24×7 watch on the strong rooms by their supporters. The claims are outlandish," said the Election Commission.
