Telugu Actress Husband to Direct ‘Ranga Maarthanda’
Marathi super hit flick 'Natsamrat' is getting its official remake in Telugu and is titled ‘Ranga Maarthanda’. Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishnan are playing the leads. Now, one more news related to the film has been out. Director Krishna Vamsi (Ramya Krishna’s husband) is going to direct the film. Krishna Vamsi, after his film Nakshatram has become a disaster in 2017, didn’t direct any other film. And now, after a long gap, he is going to direct Ranga Maarthanda in which his wife Ramya Krishna is playing the lead.
Krishna Vamsi is popular for movies such as Gulabi, Ninne Pelladutha, Chandralekha, Murari, Khadgam, Chandamama, Govindudu Andarivadele etc. According to the sources, Ilayaraja has been roped in to compose the music for the film. Earlier, Ilayaraja and Krishna Vamsi worked together for the film Anthapuram in 1998 and the film is a huge success back then, especially the music! Now, it seems the magical combo is repeating again. The story is about a retired theatre artist who troubles himself with old memories.
In the original version, Nana Patekar played the lead role and people loved the performance of him. And now, Prakash Raj is replacing him. We have to wait and see if Prakash Raj reaches the standards of Nana Patekar in terms of acting. Ranga Maarthanda will be bankrolled by Abhishek Jawkar and Madhu Kalipu.
