Tamil Director J Mahendran Passed Away
Director-actor J Mahendran breathed his last on Tuesday morning. He left the world around 7.45 AM and the final rites will be performed today at 5 PM at his home.
A few days ago, Mahendran was admitted into Apollo Hospital because of kidney-related ailments, and he had become sick after a dialysis session.
J Mahendran had directed several hit films, such as Superstar Rajinikanth’s Mullum Malarum, Johnny, Uthiripookkal and Nenjathai Killadhey.
Mahendran was born in 1939 and started his film career writing stories for Tamil films such as Jai Shankar’s Naam Moovar, Jayalalithaa’s Panakkara Pillai, and Sivaji Ganesan-starrer Thangapathakkam, etc.
