SP Balasubrahmanyam Warns The Music Director
S Thaman is enjoying the best phase in his career. He is part of many big projects in Telugu such as Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya’s Venky Mama, Sai Dharam Tej’s Prati Roju Pandaage, Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapuramulo, and Raviteja’s Disco Raja. Besides these, he has also signed several other upcoming films like Nani’s Tuck Jagadish, Raviteja’s Krack, etc.
In an interview, S Thaman has made interesting revelations. He said that there is healthy competition among all the music directors in the Tollywood industry and they complement each other’s work.
Thaman has remixed various classic numbers in his films. However, the composer says, he fears that the lyricists, composers, and singers of the original song would taunt him. Now, Thaman has decided he will not remix songs in his projects and has also refused a few proposals in recent times.
He disclosed that veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam had scolded him many times for remixing songs. But he didn’t disclose the songs for which he faced backlash. Nonetheless, the music director is disposed to compose retro songs as he did for Venky Mama.
