Rana's Aranya To Be Released On Netflix?
Rana Daggubati has done with the shoot of his upcoming project Aranya. The trilingual movie of Rana explores the relationship between a mahout and his elephant. This multilingual movie is directed by Prabhu Solomon and will be released as “Haathi Mere Saathi” in Hindi and “Kaadan” in Tamil.
Rana Daggubati is playing the role of Aranya in the movie. The movie was initially planned for the 2nd April release. But later the makers postponed the release due to COVID-19 lockdown. With a bunch of Bollywood movies releasing on Amazon, several other filmmakers are in talks to sell off the digital rights of their movies. Digital giant Netflix approached the makers of Rana Daggubati starrer Aranya to acquire the rights and quoted a decent price.
It is being heard that Rana Daggubati’s father Suresh Babu is in talks with the makers and Netflix to close the deal. An official announcement of this deal is expected soon.
The flick Aranya is inspired by the unfortunate event of humans encroaching upon the elephant corridor in Kaziranga, Assam, shot in 2 different countries, in 4 forest locales in Mahabaleshwar, Kerala, and Mumbai in India, and Thailand, took 250 days to shoot, involving 145 cast and crews. The heroines in all 3-versions of the movies are Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain.
