Rana Daggubati resumes the shoot for Virata Parvam
Actor Rana Daggubati is finally back on sets of his next upcoming film Virata Parvam, which has Sai Pallavi and Priyamani in crucial roles after a long lap of seven months. The makers of the film are planning to complete the shoot as soon as possible in order to release the movie in theatres by 2021. On Monday, the actor shared a video of the shoot location that is taking place on the sets.
The upcoming film is helmed by Venu Udugula, and the movie will revolve around the Naxal movement that happened in Telangana in the 90s. Previously the fil was planned for summer release but because of the pandemic situation, it got delayed. Recently there were reports that it may release on an OTT platform. However, these reports were not officially said by the makers of the film.
The film also features Easwari Rao, Priyamani and Zareena Wahab in supporting roles. The film is bankrolled by Rana’s father Suresh Babu Daggubati, in association with Sudhakar Cherukuri. Suresh Bobbili has been roped in to compose the music for the film. Hollywood stunt master Stefan Richter will be choreographing the action scenes. European moviemaker Dani Sanchez-Lopez will be handling the camera.
Venu Udugula will be helming a web series too for an OTT platform. He said, “My web series is going to be based on Maidanam, which is a Telugu book written by author Chalam. It is one of my dream film and I am already in discussions with some actresses.”
