Movie Virata Parvam Star Cast Sai Pallavi, Rana Daggubati, Priyamani Director Venu Udugula Producer D. Suresh Babu, Sudhakar Cherukuri Music Suresh Bobbili
Story
Virata Parvam starts in the 70s with the birth of Vennela. Vennela ( Sai Pallavi) a girl from a small village gets impressed with the revolutionary novels penned by Naxalite leader Ravanna(Rana Daggubati). Eventually, she comes to know that she is in love with him and decides to run away from home and meet him.
In this process, she goes through many hurdles and finally meets Ravanna. Soon after expressing her love, will he accept her love proposal? How will she sustain along with Naxalites in this intense movie, forms the crucial aspect of the movie.
Performances:
Undoubtedly, Sai Pallavi is the biggest asset of the movie as the actress literally lived in the given character and impresses with her commandable acting and performance. Coming to Rana he did cent percent justice to his character as a Naxalite leader. His physical appearance and dialogue delivery bring realistic texture to this serious movie.
Other artists such as Priyamani, Zarina Wahab, Naveen Chandra, Sai Chand, Eshwari Rao, Nandita Das, Rahul Ramakrishna, Banerjee among others did their prominent roles quite effectively.
Off-screen Talents:
Music composed by Suresh Bobbili is good and his background score is one of the highlights of the film. All the songs are situational and passable. The Cinematography done by Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Divakar Mani is outstanding as they captured the forest locations nicely in this movie. Editing sone by A Sreekar Prasad is good.
Production values for this medium-budget movie are good and so is the case with the production design work. Venu Udugula did a good job as the director and screenwriter. While his powerful dialogues are thought-provoking, Venu’s narrative is straight to the point without any diversions.
Positive Points:
Sai Pallavi and Rana Music Emotional climax The chemistry between the lead pair
Negative Points:
Lacks commerciality Not everyone’s cup of tea
Overall Verdict:
In an overview, Virata Parvam is a movie, set in the Naxalism backdrop. The performances of the lead actors and music are a major advantage of the movie. On the other hand, though Venu did his part perfectly, the point narrated might not get understood as many in this current generation are unaware of Naxalism and its impact on society.
