Viral: Ganpati Bappa met Jesus in Spain
A strong message of brotherhood was sent out by Indians celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi and people offering prayers inside a church in Spain in a video tweeted by maker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.
The video sees a group of Indians living in Spain was seen taking out Lord Ganesha’s procession. When they had to pass through a church’s way, they asked for permission from the authorities of the particular religious place. In a noble gesture, the Church asked the group to bring the idol of Ganpati Bappa inside the hall so that the two ‘Gods can meet.’
“In Spain, Indians who organized the Ganesh festival asked the Church if they could take the Ganesh Ji from the Church’s way. The Church asked them to bring Ganpati Bappa inside the Church so that both Gods can meet with each other,” Agnihotri wrote while tweeting the video.
When Ganpati Bappa's idol was taken inside the Church, people inside the Church began singing songs. Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is celebrated for 10 days. The festivities begin on September 10, 2021, and will end on September 21, 2021.
