The Venue Of Anti CAA Protest Has Been Shifted: Owaisi
AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadu Muslimeen) president Asaduddin Owaisi said that protest meeting to be held at the Charminar in Hyderabad on the January 25 night, against the CAA, would be now held at a different venue as police rejected permission.
"Police rejected permission for the protest meeting at Charminar, they advised us to instead move it to nearby Khilwat Ground which we've accepted. Poets protest meeting against CAA, NRC and NPR will begin on 25th night and we'll welcome India's Republic Day by hoisting the tricolor at 12 am," Owaisi tweeted.
The police advised shifting the venue to nearby Khilwat ground. MP Asaduddin Owaisi now will hold the protest at Khilwat ground against CAA, NRC, and NPR.
Owaisi has already addressed several protest meetings in recent weeks in Telangana against the CAA.
Members of civil society and religious scholars of all faiths have been invited for the event. The event will witness the participation of well-known poets Rahat Indori, Sampat Saral, Lata Haya, Nabiya Khan, Aamir Aziz and Husain Haidry.
A BJP party president in Telangana K Laxman met Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar and appealed to him not to permit the rally proposed to be organized by AIMIM on January 25.
