Received Manifesto Minutes Before Christchurch Attack, Says New Zealand PM
The terrorist attack on NZ two mosques which caused more than 40 Muslims to be killed while they were offering prayer. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that her office received a "manifesto" from the gunman few minutes before the Friday's attack.
Ardern said, "I was one of more than 30 recipients of the manifesto that was mailed out nine minutes before the attack took place".
Although the manifesto has been sent it did not include the place and time and the PM said that within 2 minutes of its receival it was sent to the security services.
NZ PM also said that post the recent attack there is a need to change the gun laws and they would definitely change. As compared to other countries NZ has fewer restrictions on shotguns and rifles while handgun has tighter restrictions and rules.
