Murder Accused Granted Bail-Telangana HC

In a case where a money lender and mother-son duo had a fight, the decreased money lender, lead the duo to life imprisonment by the trial court. However after the case went to HC, mother and son were bailed.

The scene that happens was when U Venkatamma and her son U Rajashekhar of Karimnagar district, in a fit of rage, she hit the money lender with a broken broomstick. Her son pushed the money lender during the scuffle, and he fell onto the road in front of their house, suffered a brain hemorrhage later and died. The deceased had picked up a fight with the mother-son duo at their residence.

The trial court at Karimnagar gave them life term. Even after the woman’s advocate, N Harinath said they did not intend to kill the money lender.

The HC bench of Chief Justices after hearing their plea observed that there was no intention to kill.

The judges said the doctor’s report too stated that the deceased had suffered just a few minor injuries after being hit by the broomstick and there were no corresponding injuries on his head to show as a reason for brain hemorrhage.
