KTR Inaugurates 6-Lane Flyover
Today, KT Rama Rao, State municipal administration and urban development minister, inaugurated the much-hyped 6-lane flyover at Balanagar.
The Minister paid tributes to BabuJagjivan Ram on the occasion of his death anniversary and later announced that the Balanagar flyover would be renamed as BabuJagjivan Ram Flyover. The highlight of the inauguration is that the Minister called over a construction worker Shivamma who is involved in the flyover construction and cut the ribbon along with her.
The flyover was constructed as part of the Strategic Road Development Project (SRDP) and was built at Rs.387 crore.
The 1.13 km long 6-lane two-way flyover is expected to ease traffic congestion from the Kukatpally Y-junction towards Medchal highway and Rajiv Rahadari.
While addressing, KTR noted the severe traffic congestion at Balanagar. “It is to address such issues that CM KCR is developing infrastructure under the SRDP. In Kukatpally alone, works worth Rs 1,000 crore are being executed,” the minister said.
State Labour minister ChMalla Reddy, animal husbandry minister TalasaniSrinivasYadav, l MLAs Vivekananda Goud, M Krishna Rao, MLCs SurabhiVani Devi, Naveen Rao, S Raju, Hyderabad Mayor GadwalVijayalaxmi, deputy Mayor Srilatha Reddy participated in the inauguration.
