India Demands “Immediate & Safe Return” of IAF Pilot
The Indian government said that it expects “immediate and safe return” of IAF pilot who was captured by Pakistan after the air strike.
New Delhi summoned the Pakistan envoy and lodged a strong protest saying that it is an unprovoked act of aggression by Pakistan as jets had targeted military installations in India, after Indian jets crossed LoC and carried out an air strike on JeM, major terrorist camp.
Pakistan initially claimed they have two pilots in their custody but later clarified they have only one and he is being treated as per the norms of military ethics.
But the video which is going viral shows that the pilot was blindfolded and wounded, his arms tied behind his back, and surrounded by the police. This video shows Pakistan is violating the Geneva Convention.
But, later, a video was released in which the pilot is seen sipping tea, and saying that officers of the Pakistani army are treating him well.
