5 Lakh more IT Jobs to be created in Telangana
Murali Bollu, the president of Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA), and founder and CEO of ZenQ, on Monday, said that the jobs in IT sector are likely to double up in next three to four years. He stated, “Going forward, looking at the amount of construction that is happening in the Hi-Tech City-Gachibowli area, within three to four years we expect an additional 50 million sq. ft. to be added and the workforce to increase to 10 lakhs.”
In Hyderabad, the IT sector employs 5.5 lakh people currently. As per Bollu, the new jobs will be focused on emerging technologies such as AI, ML, data sciences and employees equipped in these technologies will draw more salary packages.
Bollu added, “Many companies are now paying different pay scales to freshers who have just Java and DotNet skill sets versus the ones who have skills in future technologies. The former gets 3-3.5 lakhs per annum but the latter crowd can draw up to 6-6.5 lakhs per annum.”
Hyderabad has become the hub of IT Industry in the past few years. In fact, the state saw a rise of 17% in the IT exports in the financial year 2018-19.
